Types of Touptek digital microscope cameras
Types of digital microscope cameras of Touptek company include different connection interfaces and different specifications, which we have compared in the table below!
| Digital microscope camera | Device interface | Camera specifications |
| SCCCD | USB2.0 | CCD camera with semiconductor cooling and Sony Super HAD/EXView CCD sensor. The hip tube is used to achieve efficient heat radiation. A temperature drop of up to 20 degrees ensures that the video or image is of high quality and with less noise. |
| UHCCD | USB2.0 | High speed CCD microscope eyepiece and Sony Super HAD CCD sensor |
| EXCCD | USB2.0 | Touptek high-speed CCD digital microscope camera with Sony EXView HAD CCD sensor. Due to its high sensitivity like fluorescence, they can also be used for dark files. |
| L3CMOS | USB3.0 | USB3.0 ultra high-speed microscope monitor camera with on-board memory for Aptina and Sony CMOS sensorHigh-quality coolers minimize image noise. |
| LCMOS | USB2.0 | High-speed USB2.0 camera with on-board memory for Aptina and Sony CMOS sensorsThe memory stick helps the camera reach the bandwidth limit of USB2.0 and also adapts the camera to work with different computers with different configurations. The precise operation of the cooling system reduces image noise. |
| U3CMOS | USB3.0 | Super High Speed USB3.0 Camera with Aptina CMOS sensor is the most affordable USB3.0 imager. |
| UCMOS | USB2.0 | High speed USB2.0 camera with Aptina CMOS sensorThe most cost-effective imaging method is with USB2.0. |
| SCMOS | USB2.0 | Microscope eyepiece with 23.2 diameter and compact size. |
| HCAM | USB2.0 | USB2.0 handheld microscope with 10X to 1300 magnification |
| ICMOS | USB2.0 | touptek USB2.0 digital industrial microscope camera with on-board memory for perfect synchronization and stable performanceHirose HR25-7TR-8PA 8-pin GPIO connector for optocoupler isolation actuatorCompact standard size for easy integration is 29 x 29 x 29 mm. |
| XCAM | HDMI/VGA | Microscope monitor camera with HDMI and VGA outputThe camera’s DSP ensures high image quality and multitasking.White balance and exposure on/off (AEWB), save images to SD card (SAVE), play and freeze video on/off (FREEZE), multiple groups of cross lines and snapshot control and remote image shake and blur reduction (REMOTE) . |
| WCAM | Wi-Fi | touptek WIFI digital microscope camera. H.264 or MJPEG compression ensures high video quality. To receive videos, you can use devices with WiFi, such as smartphones, computers, tablets with iOS, Android and Windows operating systems.Multiple users can access the same camera at the same time (up to 10 users)Using ToupView imaging software that can be downloaded from the App Store, image quantification, measurement, annotation, viewing, recording and editing are done (Windows operating system only). |
Touptek telescope camera
In addition to being used in microscopes, toupTek cameras are also used in telescopes! These cameras are compatible with any type of optical telescope. The images of the observed object are displayed on the computer screen with high accuracy. Using ToupView software, previewing live images and recording them can be done easily. The advanced and powerful ToupView software together with the ToupTek camera guarantees you simple and easy imaging.
But how to install the ToupTek camera on the telescope? Stay with us to answer this question in the next article…
Installing the camera on the telescope
This is very simple and easy. Remove the eyepiece from the eyepiece tube. Put the camera inside the eyepiece and tighten the screw. Connect the camera to the USB2.0 port of the computer. That’s all you have to do!

Installing the camera on the three-eye digital microscope
Microscope camera installation instruction is slightly different for two different models of three-eye digital cameras. In the following, you will learn how to install both models:
- First model: In trifocal microscopes with the design below, to install the camera, you must connect the C-mount camera and the adapter to the direct photo tube.
Second model: To install the three eyepiece microscope camera with the following design, you must connect the C-mount camera and the adapter to the third eyepiece of the eyepiece tube.
Installation of binocular digital microscope camera
The microscope monitor camera is installed and prepared on binocular microscopes during the following steps:
- Step 1: Remove the eyepiece from the eyepiece tube.
- Step 2: Connect the adapter to the C-mount camera.
- Step 3: Place the camera eyepiece inside the eyepiece tube.
Note: The installation of Touptek digital microscope camera and all types of microscope cameras for binoculars and binoculars will be done according to the points mentioned above.
Size of microscope camera parts
The components of the digital microscope eyepiece usually include the following parts:
- Standard C-mount: internal thread (4.25 mm)
- Standard C-mount: external thread (4.25 mm)
- Camera adapter connector: The size of this part varies in different brands of microscopes.
- Straight photo tube: Sizes vary in different brands of microscopes.
- Relay Lens: The standard size of the eyepiece lens connector is (external).
- Third eyepiece of microscope eyepiece tube: standard size eyepiece connector, (inner).
- Eyepiece tube: The standard size of the eyepiece lens connector is (internal).
