What is a water distiller?
How the water distiller works
In this device, water is turned into steam by the heat given to it. This action causes the water molecules to be separated from other substances in it and pure heat is produced, consisting of the molecules that make up water, i.e. hydrogen and oxygen. Then pure water vapor passes through the condenser part of the device.
The condenser, which performs the freezing process, cools the passing vapor and turns it into a liquid state. This liquid is gradually produced and collected in a special container. As a result, all the impurities in drinking water or salt water are separated by this device and converted into pure water.

Using pure and distilled water
As mentioned, the water distiller can make pure water from salt water or drinking water. Therefore, the lower the impurity and the higher the degree of purity of the produced distilled water, the better its quality.
Of course, in some cases, there are suspended particles in the water, which are separated by a water distillation device. Since pure water is used in many cases, such as laboratories, for washing and sterilizing materials, as well as in the food industry. And depending on the type of application in various fields, its degree of purity will be far too low or high. Therefore, the more advanced the water distillation device is, the separation will be completely advanced and the distilled water will be produced with a high degree of purity. This type of high purity water is used for the production of solutions, biological materials, preparation of serums and their supplements that require pure water.
Specifications and components of the water distiller
The water distiller has components and specifications that we can briefly mention:
- The body of the device is made of steel sheets and has a coating of electrostatic epoxy paint.
- Its upper structure is made of stainless steel.
- And it has a glass and metal freezer.
- The water distiller is equipped with an electronic and conductive controller.
- It is also equipped with an inlet and outlet water control system.
- This device has the ability to quickly wash and descale separated particles.
- It is equipped with a water drain valve, freezing and cooling system (pyrex condenser).
Among the other characteristics and features of the water distillation device, we can mention the application of double distillation, 3-phase electricity consumption, equipped with an advanced and automatic electronic system, and various capacities for water storage.

How to work with a water distiller
First, we open the water inlet valve so that the water flows from the sewage outlet. Then we lower the inlet water pressure so that the water comes out as a drop from the outlet device. After draining and entering the water, we turn on the distiller by pressing the power button. When the device is turned on, the water in it begins to evaporate, which can be seen from the chimney of the device.
If the steam coming out of the chimney is high, we increase the water pressure to reduce its pressure, and on the contrary, if the steam coming out of the chimney is low or not visible at all, we should reduce the water pressure. If a halo of water vapor is seen in the chimney and the sewage output is running water, we know that the device is working well. Every ten minutes, the machine’s tank is filled with distilled water and we can remove and empty it.
Types of water distillers
There are three methods for water distillation: the first method and perhaps the oldest method of distillation, the second and among the most common and modern methods is the deionization method and finally the reverse osmosis method, which has received a lot of attention today.
Distilling water machine also has different shapes according to the type of work and the chosen method, of which we mention two types here.
High flow water distiller
The high flow water distillation device is generally used in factories and laboratories where a large and constant amount of distilled water is needed for high volume processes. Therefore, a device with the ability to purify several liters of water in 40 minutes or more will definitely not meet their needs. As a result, it is necessary to use a high flow water distiller to supply pure water in these cases.
This device removes chemical contaminants in stages by means of deionization and reverse osmosis in a large area. In this operation, systems with ultraviolet rays are used, and the amount of pure water produced in these devices is estimated to be around 40 liters per minute.
Distillation device containing high purity water
Ultra-pure water is water that is completely free of all polluting particles. The distilled water device containing ultrapure water is one of the most advanced laboratory and industrial devices. This device performs an important part of the operations in the research and scientific laboratories in the research fields, including in the semiconductor and factory industries. The settling device contains ultrapure water with a high power that deionizes and removes chemical pollutants from the reverse osmosis method.
It then destroys the mojo bacteria in the water using ultraviolet radiation. This system is designed in such a way that it has an ultra filter, and by using it, it can completely destroy the remains of bacterial toxins and materials such as DNA and RNA again by the same ultraviolet rays.
And finally produce water with almost 100% purity and free of organic carbon or with a very small percentage of it.
